KuC ANSEP Bridging Program...Piloted Success

The Kuakokwim Campus 2005 ANSEP summer bridging program is being offered in conjuction with the Kuskokwim Campus' TRIO Talent Search Program. 2005 marks the pilot year for the Bridging 'bootcamp'.

KuC Nunivak Island / ANSEP Success

KuC Alaska Native Science Engineering Program pre-college initiative completed it's second season on Nunivak Island. All students completed their course of study, were awarded six college / high school dual credits and had a great time!

This years cohort piloted new efforts with the Rose Rural Urban Exchange / Teacher program - a great addition to the program with hopes for continued cooperative efforts!

Ten Students from across the YK Delta were been selected to attend this seasons summer Biology Field Camp on Nunivak Island. Students assembled at the Kuskokwim Campus in Bethel the second week of June to prepare for the outing that took them off the coast of Mainland SW Alaska to the Bering Sea's Nunivak Island.

Pacific Alliance Leader Honored

As part of the Pacific Alliance, the Kuskokwim Campus (KuC) supports the efforts of all ANSEP campuses at the University of Alaska.

Dr. Herb Schroeder has been instrumental in promoting and supporting the development of the ANSEP initiative at KuC. "We're proud of Herb and our association in the Pacific Alliance and the benefits it brings to our students in the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta region".
